December, 2018
As the winter holidays of 2018 come upon us, I am happy to have work in 4 Detroit galleries:
Arts Extended Gallery
Detroit Repertory Theatre - Gilda Gallery
National Conference of Artists Gallery
Swords into Plowshares Peace Center  and Gallery

Arts Extended Gallery is nestled in a neighborhood on Detroit's West side near Tireman and Livernois.  It is next door to the residence of Dr. Cledie Taylor, the founder and director of the gallery.  She is a collector and ardent art supporter.  Richard Reeves, pictured above, is her Curator of Exhibitions.  I am delighted to have been invited to participate in All Things Great and Small.  The gallery is open on Saturdays from 12 - 4 PM.  Please call Richard Reeves at 248 943-5367 to confirm your visit.
In addition to theatrical productions, Detroit Repertory Theatre also hosts art exhibitions in the Gilda Gallery.  Audiences see the original works of art prior to and after the performances as well as during the intermission.  It is an honor to have my work in the gallery together with my friend, Adwoa Muwzea.  I look forward to seeing you at the Champagne Reception!
National Conference of Artists, Michigan Chapter maintains a lobby gallery as well as more intimate space in connection with its offices within the Northwest Activities Center at the corner of Meyers and Curtis on the West side of Detroit.  I am delighted to be able to present Intergalactic Cairn 2 at the NCA.  Stop in and check out all the work available for the discerning collector.
Swords Into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery hosts art exhibitions throughout the year.  The gallery is snuggled between Central United Methodist Church and what until recently was Cheli's Chili Bar on Grand Circus Park.  For the last 6 years, the Gallery has hosted an exhibition called Art4Detroit featuring art by Detroit artists for the Detroit community.  The work is as diverse as the city itself.  While many of the works have Detroit or Detroiters as subject, there are also abstract and whimsical works to be seen.  It is my pleasure to have work included in this fine assembly of Detroit artists.
If you choose to visit any or all of these locations, I recommend that you look them up on Facebook or do a search online for their websites for hours and directions.  You will see an astonishing variety of work by some of Detroit's most talented and imaginative individuals.
